    Position Overview: We are looking for our next Student Council Advisor to support, empower, and facilitate experiences for Gideon Pond students in organizing school-wide activities. This role will help students develop leadership skills through planning and participating in events, promoting school spirit, and fostering a positive school culture.

    Qualifications:
    • Apply the tools of CPPS when developing schoolwide activities
    • Co create the student activities aligned with the purpose with other Elementary Student Activity leaders in the district
    • Ensure meetings and gatherings that are inclusive of the students ability to participate in the activity
    • Organize a group of students that is similar to student body population
    • Ensure student participation in the activity correlates with the demographics of the school building
    • Engage in activities in and outside of the school day
    • Share and celebrate the student activity throughout the year
    • Share activity plans for the school year to be approved by the site principal
    • Communicate activity progress and success, areas of needed support throughout the year
    • Knowledge of State, Federal, and ISD 191 School Board Policies regarding student conduct and appropriate disciplinary action.
    • Evidence of and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with coworkers, parents, community members, supervisor, and students.
    • Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly.
    • Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co-curricular activities.
    • Ability to perform essential job functions.
