Description

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Specialist, AONL Education Operations for our Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).

Starting base salary = $58,000-$72,000 (commensurate with related experience).

The Meeting and Education Operations Specialist, American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), provides operational and administrative support for member educational programs of the association for all face-to-face and online programs, and the annual conference. Responsibilities include program/meeting logistics, registration, faculty/presenter coordination, learning management system support and customer service.
  1. Manages program logistics for all educational offerings including registration, attendee communication, program materials, and Manages the registration system and records for all educational events.
  2. Collaborates with program managers on logistics for education related activities and meetings, which includes but is not limited to scheduling, materials, technology, etc. Serves as primary technical support for virtual programs. Serves as primary on-site contact for registration and facility coordination as needed.
  3. Manages communication and logistics with faculty and presenters, which includes but is not limited to scheduling, travel, SOWs, expenses, and honorarium. Ensures receipt and organization of faculty/presenter materials including COI, presentation slides, and handouts. Responsible for complete and accurate database of faculty information and materials.
  4. Coordinate and manage member/attendee customer service. Responds, performs outreach and provides additional information to members, customers and faculty on education related products and activities. Provides customer support for AONL as needed.
  5. Manages logistics for selection processes including abstract review process for conferences and webinars, fellowship selection, and fellows applications. Communicates with reviewers and provides customer support to potential applicants.
  6. Provides administrative support to supervisor. Collaborates with team members to support work related to educational activities. Keeps abreast of educational offerings of the association and maintains documentation of procedures and processes.
