Our affiliate is currently seeking applications to become our next ReStore General Manager, and we were hoping to get it posted on habitat.org. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore generates revenue through the sale of donated building materials and household items to support HFHMC's mission. The ReStore Manager is responsible for the overall management of the ReStore's day-to-day operations, playing an active role in planning for the ReStore's future, and for representing the ReStore at public and community events. Specific responsibilities involve operations, staff/volunteer management, reporting and communications, finance and administration, and policy and planning. Previous retail management experience preferred. Responsibilities Oversee all retail operations while ensuring consistent and efficient operations Design strategy and set goals for growth Set priorities, policies, and processes Ensure ReStore is adequately staffed with employees and volunteers Hire, train, and manage ReStore staff Ensure proper maintenance of facility, equipment, and vehicles Develop and maintain comprehensive operations manual Ensure compliance with safety standards Enhance the organization's culture by reinforcing core values and fostering a positive work environment Research and implement best practices in retail and merchandising Implement and monitor financial controls and provide accurate accounting records Develop marketing and advertising strategy for the ReStore that is integrated with the overall HFHMC strategy Develop relationships with existing and potential donors to increase the quality and quantity of donations Provide quality customer service and handle grievances professionally Skills and Experience Self-motivation Solutions seeker and implementer Ability to lead, train, and manage staff and volunteers in a positive manner Knowledge of sales, marketing, and construction materials Experience in planning, project management, and budgeting Effective time management and organizational skills Effective written and oral communications skills Ability to adapt to a changing environment and unexpected shifts in priorities Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email Job Type: Full-time Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Shift: 8 hour shift Day shift Experience: Retail management: 3 years (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Bloomington, IL 61701: Relocate before starting work (Required) Apply online at https://www.indeed.com/job/restore-general-manager-8c23cedc3512f23c . #LI-aff | |
