As an anchor member of GEHA's Innovation and Strategy team, the Mgr - Business Architecture serves as custodian of the enterprise business architecture model, that can be recreated and used as a corporate knowledge resource available to project level initiatives as well as executive decision making.
Applies and utilizes business architecture modeling methods to ensure purposeful deliverables. Deliverables may include high level Business Architecture models, assessments, requirements, designs, and diagrams. Works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and leveraging industry standard techniques.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leads the development and maintenance of enterprise business architectural models, including supporting business architecture best practices, standards, and frameworks.
  • Leads and manages Business Architecture team in the application of enterprise business architectural models and practices.
  • Leads senior management through targeted strategic readiness assessments in tandem with the corporate planning process.
  • Consults with senior management on other business architecture use cases and strategic initiatives.
  • Promotes alignment between GEHA corporate strategy and business, information, and technology related initiatives.
  • Conducting architecture assessments during business ideation, planning and prioritization
  • Translates business strategy into business technology-transformable strategy, prioritizing business capabilities critical to corporate strategy.
  • Works with business stakeholders to capture and maintain information to develop cohesive Architecture models, including business drivers, business functions, information usage, and technology support.
  • Analyzes business information (e.g., process, metrics, analytics) to identify key issues and trends.
  • Aligns business architecture guiding principles, best practices, and solutions patterns with business strategies and architecture roadmaps.
  • Analyzes the industry and market trends to determine new and potential business capabilities.
  • Providing in depth business architectural support during program/project solution analysis
  • Responsible for partnering or influencing business leadership without direct authority.
  • Other projects/responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of overall business and/or technology planning, and/or architecture experience
  • 5+ years of experience development and delivery of strategic communications to diverse audiences (executive level and below) e.g., Collection of content, refinement of message, creation of delivery material, presentation)
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare industry
  • 3+ years of experience managing or mentoring others.
  • Strong partnership and influencing skills. Ability to break down silos. Courageous communicator.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand audience and effectively and professionally present information tailored to the audience, communicate messages succinctly, and communicates to staff in an organized, authentic, and solutions-oriented manner.

Work-at-home requirements
  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $137,282 - $193,518 USD.
