The salary range for this role, based in New York is $169,224.00 to $211,530.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

TheBrand DirectorSkrewballwill beresponsiblefor leading strategic and brand plan development/implementation, commercial planning, innovation launches andbusinessmonitoring. He/she will exhibit a general manager mindset and will be responsible for leadingthe US businessto achieve threecritical goals:
  • Establish a clear and differentiated position in the US market through marketing and commercialplans.
  • Buildkey brandequitymetrics.
  • Acceleratebrand performanceand achievelong-term profitable growthin the US.

This exciting role requires a dynamicBrand Directorwho has a strongstrategic,marketing,commercial andoperational mindset. The ideal candidate is consumer centric and can balance thinking strategically with driving commercial activation of the brand plan. Responsibilities include:

  • Strategy:Lead andguide theteamthroughthe annualstrategic planning process.Establish aclearand differentiated brand positioning. Develop a growth strategy that plays to the unique strengths of Skrewball.
  • Commercialization:Set the commercialplan, commercial strategy and guidelines for the brand and lead efforts incommunicatingand activatingthiswiththe sales/wholesaler org.
  • Collaboration & Engagement:Partnerwithagencies, global brand company and crossfunctional teamstodrive thecommunication strategy andvisiontodevelop platforms/executions that maximize business results. Identifyright agency mix needed forthebusinessand brand needs.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset:Develop,deliver,anditerate plans continuously with a resourceful, obsessive, and fearless mindsetwith a focus on proving the case for brand expansion.
  • Agile: Results-orientation andability to operate with agility and respond to changes in customer and category dynamics.
  • Research:Identify,leadand guideteamthrough performance analysis/constructresearch programs and derive implications toensure marketing programs/expenditures meet KPIs. Consistently seek to improveour efficiency and effectiveness by sharing learningsacross the team.
  • TrendsAnalysis and Implications:Identify,leadand guideteam through thedevelopmentof trendsreporting and analysistoidentify opportunities, risks andrecommend changes to creative team.
  • Training and People Development:Manage direct reports, train,and develop them into strong brand experts and leaders whilealsocreatingaculture ofcreativity,learningand experimentation withinthe broader Marketingteam.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Act as day-to-day general manager; develop brand Annual Operating Plan and Consumer Engagement Platform; Manage brand A&P, pricing strategy, commercial strategy, collaborate with regional sales leaders and ownership team in execution of US plan.
  • Develop off and on-premise programs and toolkits.
  • Lead, coach and manage brand team.
  • Lead development of communication and platform strategy for the brand and the asset creation plan to support it. Manage agency roster recommendations and opportunities.
  • Engage and mobilize US sales leadership and key wholesaler partners with the execution of US commercial strategy.

JobRequirements

The role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well astheability to collaborateeffectively across functions with passion andenthusiasm.Strongentrepreneurial ability to work around obstacles, resultsdriven, and a bias for action with apilot/learn/scale approach. The ideal candidate willhavethe ability tomarry strategy with creative by helpingto lead thedigital transformation,brand growthand momentum. The ideal candidate must be able to bothleadand influenceteams and have the ability to communicateeffectively, verbally and in writing, andexecutive presentation skills.

Other requirements include
  • Education:MinimumBachelor's degree (or equivalent); MBA or advanced degree preferable
  • Experience / Background:10+ years ofbusiness experience,withexperienceinasenior levelroleinbrand,media agency workingonthe customer side. The ideal candidate will havesignificant experiencemanagingentrepreneurial, challengeror founderbrands.Must have solid experiencedevelopingstrategies grounded in insights andanalytics, whilealso being comfortable leaning into ambiguityto develop hypothesis.Must have experience in managingand partneringwithabroad set ofstakeholdersinmatrixorganizationas well asexternal agency partners. Must have experiencemanaging financials and business performance including budgetmanagement.Idealcandidate will havepreviousexperiencein e-commerce,digital, websites,CRMand media.
  • This position may travel up to25%of thetime.
