The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Chief Executive Officer, AONL and SVP, Chief Nurse Executive, AHA for our Chicago office. This role has responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), and the Senior Vice President, Chief Nurse Executive for the American Hospital Association (AHA). As a visible and active national leader interacting with clinical, policy, association, and hospital and health care system leaders across health care, this individual is responsible for advancing the work of AONL and the AONL Foundation for Nursing Leadership, Research and Education. In a collaborative dyad model with the AHA Chief Physician Executive, the individual also provides critical clinical expertise to the AHA and supports key strategic workforce initiatives. The individual serves as a member of the AHA executive management group and leads the work to support nursing issues for the association.
