Join the engineering team at Honeywell that designs, verifies, integrates, and tests complex integrated circuit products that enable systems development for deployment in space. Honeywell's integrated circuit wafer foundry produces parts for satellites, space probes, defense, and other novel applications. You will develop and characterize wafer process technologies and radiation testing and modeling that enable new product development in support of the organization's business strategies. You will be responsible for understanding several radiation-hardened SOI technologies and methods to achieve and characterize radiation hardening of them. You will work closely with world class hardware development engineers, circuit design engineers, radiation testing tools & facility and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of MRAM bit cells, including their characterization and optimization.
  • Electrical and magnetic characterization of MRAM bit cells, the MTJ and the access device.
  • Definition and characterization of program/ erase algorithms to optimize MRAM bit cell parameters (read speed, leakage, read margin, write margin, retention, endurance, ...).
  • Assist with the modeling team to create and validate SPICE models for the MRAM bit cell.
  • Build relationships with the reliability team to define reliability characterization procedures.
  • Close partnership with the PDK team for MRAM enableme
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • MS or PHD Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • Graduated between May 2023 - December 2024
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site at the Honeywell Plymouth, MN facility (zip code 55441)
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Dual Citizenship is not allowed due to contractual requirements
  • Active, or previously held USG Secret security clearance in good standing, or, no known barriers to achieve a USG Secret security clearance is required
WE VALUE
  • Magnetics/physics knowledge.
  • Ability to pair physics knowledge and integrated circuit [IC] knowledge to understand radiation interactions with ICs, circuit primitive device types (e.g., IC transistors, resistors, etc), and radiation testing equipment and principles of operation.
  • In-depth knowledge of MTJ and transistor device physics.
  • Experience and willingness to work in laboratory settings to develop hardware for custom testing applications.
  • Good communication skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
  • Knowledge of statistically designed experiments and regression methods for analyses and response surface modeling
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Windows and LINUX operating systems knowledge and scripting languages
