Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the organization including but not limited to administrative/operational functions, customer/vendor support, conference/event planning, community outreach and engagement programming. This position was created to support the Governor's Year of Service Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Support research, development, evaluation, presentation, and coordination of programs to positively impact the organization through intentional and innovative programs.
  • Assists in a variety of administrative matters including, but not limited to, verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness, compiling information, data entry, scheduling, and handling and responding to questions.
  • Assist with planning and hosting of events and meetings. Assist with administrative procedures and processes involved in the operation of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, members, leadership, and community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

Experience: Less than one year experience in an administrative, clerical, customer service or operations role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Participant in the Maryland Service Year Option/Maryland Corps program.
  • Previous experience working in an administrative support or customer service role.
  • Previous experience in community relations and/or special event planning.
  • Experience volunteering and/or working with nonprofit(s).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to learn new technologies to perform data entry, manage calendars, and create documents.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite, email, Internet, social media).
  • Good time-management, organizational skills and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn business operations/procedures in identifying project objectives and output requirements.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management, employees and vendors.

Salary Range: $26,424 - $48,444
