Please note that this role will be in the Baltimore (Canton) office 2-3 days per week/ in field 2-3 times per month depending on event schedule.

PURPOSE:
Supports events related to our board of directors, sales, executive leadership and key transformation initiatives. Works cross-functionally with divisions internally and external partners to plan and execute each event successfully also designing presentations for leadership, media relations and social teams to generate awareness for key events, product launches and campaigns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Implements memorable events by developing strategic plans and process, working cross functionally and suggesting innovative ideas.

Leads event management process and serves as the point person with event vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate details of events including billing, logistics, promotion, vendor and agency management and other duties.

Manages corporate and executive events by developing program design; organizing event suppliers; coordinating production team; staffing.

Designs implements and manages event strategy focused on growing CareFirst brand awareness and favorability

Maintains accurate and updated records of all contacts, budgets and assets. Assess each event effectiveness and report regularly on key metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Business or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years experience in corporate sponsorship/event management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Demonstrated success in planning, project management/coordination and meeting deadlines.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong event planning skillset, both pre and post event.

Salary Range: $73,656 - $146,289

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilites of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration.
