Title: Part-Time Faculty- Dealer School Poker Instructor Department: Hotel, Culinary Arts & Tourism Campus Location: Arundel Mills Salary Range: $33.40/hour Work Mode: This position requires a full-time in-person presence on campus or at alternative locations. Hours Per Week: 7-11:30am,12:30-5pm or 6:00pm-10:30pm Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday Position Type: Part-Time Faculty, Non-Exempt Position Summary Provide instruction, following the curriculum outline, for poker and advanced poker. Assigning grades and recording attendance are the responsibility of the instructor. Instructors are also required to adhere to Anne Arundel Community College's Adjunct Faculty Instructional policies and procedures. Classes take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, at Anne Arundel Community College, Arundel Mills campus. Job Duties and Responsibilities • Provide instruction of Casino Dealer School courses as directed by enrollments and as assigned by your supervisor • Prepare daily instructional lesson plans based upon curriculum • Instruct in a manner consistent with the philosophy, policies, and guidelines of the college • Attend departmental meetings as requested • Maintain professional and effective communication • Assess the learning outcomes listed in the course guide or syllabus of the class. • Evaluate and document student performance using established methods, rubrics, and criteria • Enter course grades consistently and with 100% accuracy Required Qualifications: • Background and expertise in subject area • Current poker dealer with at least 4+ years' casino industry experience • Flexibility and reliability are essential • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills • Familiarity with computer applications Preferred Qualifications: |
