Description

As a Formulation Process Operator, you will be part of a team of front-line employees who perform the manufacturing processes which contributes to creating the final high-quality medications for our patients. Your role will focus on the production of medicines where you will weigh and measure ingredients, operate pharmaceutical manufacturing machinery, and monitor the manufacturing process to ensure the accurate distribution of ingredients in each tablet to ensure production requirements are met while following company policies/procedures and maintaining compliance with FDA and other Global Regulatory requirements.

We are actively recruiting for openings on second shift; Monday-Thursday and Tuesday-Friday. These opportunities work a four 10-hour shifts per week.

What you will do:
  • Accurately operate tablet formulation equipment, perform equipment set-up/change-over/cleanings, assist in preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Perform role responsibilities ensuring compliance with Newark Site standards, policies, and SOP's, as well as performing job responsibilities in compliance with AstraZeneca Safety, Health & Environment standards to include: following and accurately completing all activities while in compliance with GMP policies, safety requirements, and ensuring required documentation.
  • Work with Process Facilitators and other Operators/ Mechanics/ Technicians to identify and implement opportunities for improvements in equipment/production efficiencies. Support new equipment start-up and quickly learn new systems, equipment and procedures. Support the development/validation of new products/procedures.
  • Flexible in responding to changes to equipment/production assignments.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and work in a team environment, with other operators, mechanics, technicians, supervision, and project management with the goal of completing planned production and furthering Newark Site and AstraZeneca initiatives.
  • At times, this position will require work other shifts, weekends, alternative schedules due to production schedules.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 0 -1 year of experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year experience in a production environment
  • Knowledge of cGMP
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mechanical proficiency and computer skills
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction
