The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a ICD Coding Consultant to work for our Chicago office - on a remote basis. Starting base salary = $70,000 - $87,500 (commensurate with related experience). The American Hospital Association serves as the official U.S. clearinghouse on coding ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and HCPCS level II codes. As a member of the association's Central Office coding team, the Consultant, ICD 10 CM PCS Coding advises providers and coding professionals in the health information field on official medical coding principles and offers guidance on emerging issues. The Consultant also assists the Managing Editor by researching and drafting materials for quarterly publication.
