This is what you will do:

The Alexion IT organization is looking for a Senior IT Finance Business Relationship Manager to join their Finance IT team. This role is a business partner for the Alexion Finance organization, and it maintains and builds the business relationships and projects that align to key finance business priorities. Additionally, the person will be responsible for understanding and translating business needs to functional and technical requirements. The individual must be an initiative-taker with effective communication, organizational, and influencing skills who will work to become a trusted partner to the Finance organization and across IT.

You will be responsible for: :
  • Work with Alexion Finance stakeholders to discover unmet and unarticulated business needs and turn them into concrete projects.
  • Partner with Alexion Finance Business stakeholders to develop function specific roadmaps and portfolio(s)
  • Co-Lead (with the business) the current state system analysis and documenting future state system requirements, as well as documenting and recommending solutions including functional and technical requirements.
  • Leading the analysis, documentation and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications.
  • Partners with business lead to conduct user acceptance testing and gain solution sign-off.
  • Facilitate actions and compile deliverables in accordance with SDLC for Internal Audit sign-off.
  • Manage financials for Alexion IT Finance Portfolio as required.
  • Spearhead initiatives to identify process improvements for business processes related to established financial cycles.
  • Work closely with the business partners, Data Capability Lead, and Service Delivery Teams on the documentation of business processes and architecture.
  • Understand business initiatives to ensure compliance in all platforms and systems.
  • Lead and represent IT function at various project and sponsor committee meetings.
  • Perform other function-related activities in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

You will need to have:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as Business Relationship Manager supporting Finance.
  • Detailed understanding of one or more of Finance processes such as revenue forecasting, headcount/ people planning, operating/capital expense planning, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet forecasting and legal entity forecasting
  • Demonstrated ability and/or a consistent track record of success in developing roadmap, managing portfolio, and financials.
  • Experience working with various analytical tools and reports that support the Finance & Planning function.
  • Understanding of SDLC guidelines and Agile Processes to deliver the projects and improvements identified through the PMO process.
  • Speak up approach to challenge the status quo and raise and gain consensus for recommendations.
  • Be an initiative-taker, purposeful, and effective at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong influencing, networking and team working skills.
  • Demonstrate positive relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.
  • Proficiency in planning, change management and problem solving and able to resolve issues.
  • Confirmed ability to relate and respond to finance needs in an IT environment.
  • Ability to lead negotiations, expectations, and solutions across complex groups.
  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.

We would prefer for you to have:
  • A bachelor's degree, MBA, or equivalent level of experience
  • Knowledge and or expertise in Anaplan or other financial planning systems is a plus.
  • Work experience within Biotech or Pharmaceutical is helpful.
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to direct and engage teams to achieve strategy and performance objectives.
  • Highly skilled at facilitation and information gathering.
  • Excellent decision-making and critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve sophisticated escalated issues.
  • Experience of Data Foundations and supporting systems

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,263.20 to $168,394.80. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
