New Jersey Resources is seeking a Sr. Contracts Analyst responsible for working in conjunction with business unit personnel to draft, negotiate and administer contracts and Requests for Proposals (RFP) with third party vendors, contractors, consultants and suppliers. Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions: • Draft new and modify existing vendor contracts for multiple procurement categories including, but not limited to, construction, engineering, MRO, and Facilities. o Prepare and conduct RFP, collaborating with internal stakeholders in developing and gathering business requirements. o Assist in the negotiation of the commercial and operational contract terms including pricing, service levels and performance monitoring criteria. o Ensure all contracts comply with Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT Security, Compliance and Risk Management standards and policies. o Establish strong relationships with external suppliers and internal business partners in key functional areas. • Support the Contract Management System and process, including but not limited to: o Assist with maintenance of contract templates and clause library o Provide troubleshooting assistance for internal customers and procurement associates o Produce ad hoc departmental reports • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement around vendor management, reporting, systems and other procurement processes Position Specifications • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or equivalent work experience • 7 years of relevant procurement experience • Experience with e-Procurement systems (Oracle Cloud ERP) preferred • Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to lead projects and build relationships with associates at all levels of the company • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio • Strong analytical skills to review data, benchmark, identify trends and patterns, and make thoughtful recommendations • Energy industry experience is a plus * The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary.
