This Opportunity:

The Senior Associate, Strategic Growth will be a member of the America's Business Development Agile Team supporting the growth strategy, with a primary focus on sourcing new opportunities and proposal coordination. S/he helps to take an opportunity through the pipeline from identification to submission. S/he focuses on overall planning, writing select proposal/pre-proposal pieces, and coordinating the internal team and partner inputs for bid efforts, and assists in broader bid preparation and production aspects.

Location and Compensation:

The position is based in Palladium's Washington D.C. office.

For our prospective employees in the United States, please note that the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to range from $64,000 to $96,000 and successful candidates may also be eligible for additional, variable incentive compensation dependent on the role. For part-time employees, the salary will be prorated based on the actual number of hours worked.

Please be advised that a final salary offer will be based on various factors, including but not limited to your qualifications, education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and Palladium's business or organizational needs.

Reporting and Supervision:

This person will report to a Manager/Senior Manager, Strategic Growth

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordination:

  • Work closely with capture managers to successfully manage proposal efforts and resources, including timeline and action planning, identification of needed proposal team members, internal/external meeting support, efficient communications, and organization of proposal component folders/files
  • Lead responsibility for coordinating the coordination of select proposals (including the preparationing tailored calendars, checklists, instructions, templates, and outlines), and monitoring progress
  • Perform analysis of RFP/A requirements and continually works to promote and ensure compliance
  • Guide proposal team through necessary practice-level processes and corporate-level reviews and decisions, adhering to established policies and protocols
  • Ensure vital flow of communication and task management between practice areas, capture manager, departments, partners, and other parties involved in the proposal process
  • Help facilitate the evolution and documentation of the proposal strategy, such asincluding the development of a competitive analysis, developing win themes and technical approach, visioning of needed personnel, and selection ofng teaming partners
  • Lead final technical and cost proposal production and submission, and coordinates post-submission debriefs
  • In close coordination with the Pricing and Value Analytics and Contracts/Operations Departments, helps support cost/business proposal development as appropriate
  • Work closely with the America's recruitment team to develop job descriptions, identify and screen candidates, facilitate and coordinate interviews, and finalize documentation of selected candidates

Writing / Editing:

  • Write expressions of interest, corporate capability statements, personnel and management sections, past performance references, biographical sketches and other proposal components; strategically enhances/positions resume content
  • Edit and coordinate technical proposal sections as they develop (including managing file traffic/turnaround time, and liaisingclose liaison with technical staff)
  • Review and edit submissions from partners, ensuring their inputs meet specified requirements and expected level of quality

Other Key Job Aspects:

  • Maintain timely data on assigned opportunity pipeline
  • Carry out business intelligence research to help position company/guide strategic planning; Researches and analyzes funding trends among key donors/clients
  • Support liaison with and efforts to build positive relationships with other international development organizations and a range of international donors
  • Develop depth of understanding of practice area staff and projects, and helps facilitate proactive and responsive business development support
  • Play a key role in capture activities including research, competitive analysis, positioning activities, and partnering discussions
  • Attend industry events and conferences

Essential Criteria:
  • Experience in proposal development
  • Experience with USAID
  • Proven ability to successfully manage the full proposal development process
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional proficiency, both written and oral. Strong editing skills and demonstrated competence using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients, and consultants
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines, with multiple/simultaneous bid efforts, and across time-zone challenges

Desirable Criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
