Brief Description Administers immunizations, obtains medical histories, collects specimens, and provides education and counseling to clients. Detailed Description Administers vaccines and other injections to children and adults in the clinic and/or home setting.Conducts patient education and counseling.Functions as preceptor for co-workers and students.Obtains medical histories and performs physical assessments.Performs other duties assigned. Job Requirements Education, Experience and Training:Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Completion of an accredited vocational school of nursing program. Licensed in the State of Texas to practice vocational nursing. No experience required.Special Requirements:Must be able to perform specialized nursing skills.Physical/Environmental Requirements:Must posses the ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods. Must possess reliable transportation to make field visits. Must posses the ability to lift and transport clinic related supplies.
