Description

Brief Description

Observes and provides support for patients with behavioral or emotional conditions. Observes, records, and evaluates patient behavior. Designs behavioral treatment strategies, provides assistance and guidance throughout the treatment process, and refers patients to treatment providers.

Detailed Description

Monitors and documents patient behavior to assess emotional and mental health status. Develops and implements behavioral treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs. Collaborates with healthcare providers and community resources to facilitate referrals for specialized treatment as necessary. Provides guidance and support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process. Educates patients, families, and caregivers on behavioral health issues, treatment options, and community resources.Maintains accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Performs data entry and assists in preparing grant reports. Participates in team meetings and trainings as required.Develops educational materials (e.g., handouts, brochures, infographics) on behavioral health topics for patients, families, and the community.Performs receptionist duties as required.

Job Requirements

Education, Experience and Training:Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Science, or in a job related field of study. Two (2) years of experience, including one (1) year of experience in behavioral health assessment and treatment.Independently licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of behavioral health disorders, treatments, and interventions. Knowledge of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License, with good driving record and reliable transportation. Physical/Environmental Requirements:Standard office environment. Ability to travel to various work site locations.
