Brief Description Promotes a system-wide approach to HIV/AIDS services, to include planning and facilitating the implementation of research and planning studies needed to support the achievement of RWPC/Consortium I strategic goals in all functional areas, including fund allocation, public policy and public information. Facilitates collaboration among HIV/AIDS researchers, service providers, policy makers and members of target populations in comprehensive planning activities; and provides technical assistance to the RWPC/Consortium. Detailed Description Assists staff in strategic planning, data analysis and evaluation in various activities, including HIV/AIDS service delivery and fund resources/needs across service categories.Plans and implements assessments of local, HIV/AIDS related community resources and needs, including organizing, conducting and analyzing results of focus groups; designing, supervising and analyzing results of surveys collecting; analyzing secondary research data; and communicating findings.Coordinates special research projects, such as service effectiveness studies, comprehensive need assessments and quality assurance initiatives.Prepares and updates the Comprehensive Plan to develop, organize, coordinate and implement more effective and cost effective systems of essential services to individuals and families with HIV disease across a 12 County area.Conducts epidemiological studies of HIV/AIDS.Attends meetings and presents reports to the RWPC/Consortium and related committees.Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education, Experience and Training:Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public/ Community Health, Health Administration, Business Management, or in a job related health science field. Two (2) years of professional work related experience.Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Physical/Environmental Requirements:Standard office environment.
