Responsibilities

The Time & Attendance UKG Specialist supports the Time & Attendance Lead in the management and ongoing maintenance of Sherwin William's timekeeping systems. They work to ensure all employee hours are accurately tracked and reported, driving optimal performance and reliability of the system to support business and employee needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
  • Optimize the Time and Attendance system and processes to meet workforce needs and create opportunities for automation, enhanced integration, and reduction of manual processes.
  • Support the identification of opportunities to automate the time and attendance system. Drive research and cost-benefit analysis to inform recommendations to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain accrual & attendance polices within the SBS WFM system. Track employee work hours including vacation, overtime, and LOAs.
  • Generate time and attendance reports. Partner with analytics & enablement to track time and attendance KPIs.
  • Monitor the performance of the time & attendance system. Diagnose and trouble shoot issues to prevent disruptions. Support the implementation of updates and upgrades.
  • Determine requirements for time clock configuration. Support ongoing maintenance and updates to time clock functionality.
  • Support and advise on functional configuration, informing software implementation decisions. Provide recommendation on system design and configuration to SBS WFM Technology Team.
  • Develop time and attendance user stories and requirements for the SBS WFM solution.
  • Partner with SBS WFM Technology to develop test cases and review test results for completion. Support testing of time & attendance and timecard functionality.
  • Partner with SBS WFM Program Management in the development of processes and policies for the time and attendance system.
  • Advise on policy and process development, partnering with SBS WFM Processes & Training Specialists to develop.


Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, or in lieu of a degree, 12 years of experience in related fields.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree focused on Finance, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Human Resources
  • Project management certification or designation desired
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:
  • 3+ years of professional experience working with time and attendance systems. This includes an understanding of how these systems operate, how to troubleshoot issues, and how to train others to use them effectively.
  • Experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management systems, particularly focusing on the time and attendance modules. Familiarity with setting up and managing shifts, schedules, leave balances, and other elated timekeeping functionalities within UKG.
  • Experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining UKG timekeeping systems for various organizational needs. Proven track record of successful UKG system upgrades and integrations with other HR systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent presentation expertise.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to leverage analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities and influence change.
  • Experience in developing process mapping and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Preferred:
  • Payroll and Time & Attendance implementation experience desired.
  • Agile project management experience.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:
  • Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Project
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting various UKG system components and modules, including UKG Pro Workforce Management, Timekeeping, Forecasting, Advanced Scheduling, Absence, and Analytics
Preferred:
  • Aptitude with Payroll and HCM systems with strong understand of end-to-end data flow and process impact.
  • Aptitude with Jira Agile platforms and other project management tools.
Travel: 20%
