Description

This R&D System Analyst will be responsible for supporting the North America Packaging Division with required setup of materials in various systems necessary to support lab and production scale operations. This role will support data entry for lab, pilot, and production sites through data entry into various IT systems. In addition to data entry, this position requires communication between multiple functions of the business to support formula and raw material updates.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H-1B visa.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the following under supervision (unless otherwise noted):
  • Safety and Quality Standards
  • Complies with all safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines
  • Adheres to all applicable ISO guidelines, quality standards, and internal test methods/procedures and maintains all required certifications.
  • Technical/Professional Knowledge
  • Utilizes scientific approaches to design and execute their own experiments as required
  • Develops new products/methods/processes or modifies existing products/methods/processes in response to specific business needs
  • Conducts analysis of technical problems, draws conclusions and implements existing procedures to solve the problem or provides sound rationale for recommendations where precedent may not exist.
  • Compiles, validates and analyzes data to draw conclusions and make recommendations with input from manager
  • Proficient in operating complex equipment or utilizing a variety of instruments/methods
  • Proficient in using software to input and analyze data and communicate results
  • Ensures continued technical and professional development through participation in on-the-job training, in-house training, and/or external courses/seminars/classes.
  • Has company/industry knowledge in a specific area of expertise or has broad company/industry knowledge
  • Project Management
  • Performs basic tasks with progress and results infrequently checked
  • Works to meet timeline/schedule for assignments based on priorities and completes assigned work within defined timelines
  • Supports projects with limited supervision or provide significant support to larger projects or project teams. Actively contributes suggestions based on experience and/or results.
  • Communication
  • Maintains awareness of customer needs and may provide technical customer support to immediate department/internal/external customers
  • Communicates with members of own department and outside of department (took out may)
  • Provides project updates to key stakeholders and/or supervisor (took out may)
  • Writes reports, outlining processes/procedures and results with proper analyses and recommendations for path(s) forward (where appropriate) for distribution within and potentially outside the department.


  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
    • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field.
    • 1-3 years in related activities, such as Navigator, raw material knowledge, system knowledge.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Background in Product Vision, Business Objects, Excel, Oracle (OBIEE) and Tableau.
    • Experience in R&D, marketing, procurement and/or operations.
    • Knowledge of coatings and manufacturing
    • Independent Decision making
