Description

Summary of Functions: Assists with the analysis, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Works closely with business units, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure ERP solutions meet organizational needs. Supports system configuration, data integration, process mapping, troubleshooting, and user training. Assists in documenting system requirements, testing, and ensuring system performance while providing ongoing technical support. Management Scope: N/A

Responsibilities

Organizes stakeholder meetings. Supports the coordination of ERP system implementation, configuration, and enhancements. Tracks and follows up on action items and decisions. Assists with user stories, documentation, and system testing for ERP-related projects. Provides support for system users to include problem qualification, fault isolation, problem determination and resolution of system and advanced applications issues and answers; evaluates and prioritizes client technical inquiries and problems. Escalates issues to Dallas County IT Staff and 3rd Party support teams as necessary to address outages. Maintains assigned incidents, requests and changes in activity tracking systems. Assists with managing user roles, permissions, and security settings within the ERP system. Tests software programs to confirm performance aligns with documented specifications. Performs quality assurance review of deliverables for internal and external delivery. Assists with troubleshooting and resolution of user issues related to ERP applications. Assists in performing tests of ERP systems and validate the performance against specifications. Supports the creation and maintenance of custom business reports and data visualizations. Helps in generating reports using ERP system tools and platforms. Documents the impact of new business needs on the current system and provides document deliverables including recommendations. Serves as liaison to development, and evaluates proposed software designs to ensure alignment to business unit requirements. Evaluates overall system performance and provides documented recommendations (operating efficiencies) to optimize performance. Evaluates business process to ensure established practices were adhered to and meets the needs of customer. Defines and documents customer business functions and processes. Identifies opportunities for improving business processes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or extensions for current systems. Maps business processes as integrated with technical solutions for current and future states. Validates all documented business needs, objectives, current operational procedures, challenges, inputs, output requirements, and levels of systems access are completed. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Training: Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or in a job-related field of study. Four (4) years of work-related experience in broad-based systems and/or application technical support and systems analysis. System analysis to include but not limited to multiple programming languages, multiple hardware platforms, operating systems, and database management systems. Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Skilled in the use of standard software applications (MS Windows, MS Office, etc.). Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. Clear and logical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting issues. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public in traditional and virtual settings. Must be able to communicate complex business concepts clearly, both oral and written, and interpret user's requests. Work and communicate with a wide range of people - peers, vendors, staff members, broader functional and business leadership, and others. Consistently demonstrate professional, positive, and approachable attitude, demeanor and discretion. Must be able to work on more than one project at a time and across multiple teams. Gather and prioritize customer requirements and working closely with business functions to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met. Ability to work independently as well as to be a team player in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork, facilitation, relationship building, and negotiation skills. Strong leadership and influence skills. Ability to work through issues independently with successful outcomes. Ability to drive forward with proactive behavior and take ownership. "Individuals holding or considered for a position which has, or may have, access to criminal justice databases including the FBI Criminal Justice Information Systems, NCIC/TCIC and similar databases, must pass a national fingerprint-based records check prior to placement in such position and may be denied placement in such positions and/or access to such systems. Incumbents must also maintain the ability to pass the records check while in the position or until such time that the Commissioners Court and the County Civil Service Commission deem this position no longer has this requirement." Physical/Environmental Requirements: Standard office environment. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
