Monitors daily operations of the Wellness on Wheels Program, which is a mobile market that provides wellness services throughout Dallas County. Drives the market vehicle, collaborates with partners and ensures quality standards are met. Responsibilities 1. Monitors day-to-day operations, including scheduling, supplier management, to ensure quality standards. Coordinates with suppliers to submit weekly orders and procurement of weekly orders; restocks products as needed and maintains accurate records of stock levels. Ensures products meet quality standards. Collaborates with partner agencies to determine the market schedule. 2. Drives the mobile market vehicle throughout Dallas County to facilitate program activities. Sets up and dismantles market displays. 3. Promotes the mobile market and services to the local community. 4. Processes customer transactions and maintains proper record-keeping. 5. Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and maintains necessary documentation. 6. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience and Training: Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Four (4) years job-related experience or 60 hours of college or a combination of the two. Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to obtain Texas Department of Health Food Protection Management Certification within thirty (30) days of hire. Experience in retail, customer service, or food service. Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed. Experience operating a mobile market or similar mobile retail operation preferred. Program experience with USDA Food and Nutrition Services Food Assistance Programs (SNAP, WIC, Farmers Market Nutrition Program) preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record. Will be required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history. Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code. Physical/Environmental Requirements: Requires prolonged kneeling, standing, lifting, carrying heavy objects, as well as stocking and restocking market shelves. |
