The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Managing Editor, HCPCS Coding Clinic for our downtown Chicago office. This position is a remote role.
Starting base salary = $92,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with related experience)

The Managing Editor, HCPCS Coding Clinic is responsible for identifying, researching and developing Healthcare Procedure Classification System (HCPCS) material, including Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and HCPCS level II coding questions for Coding Clinic HCPCS to update throughout the United States. Coding Clinic for HCPCS provides hospital HCPCS coding advice in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB).

This position is the highest level of consultant that provides guidance to the HCPCS Coding Consultant within AHA's coding team to fulfill the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding with CMS as the clearinghouse for hospital HCPCS coding issues. The position is responsible for providing expert review of the HCPCS responses to requests for coding advice received by the AHA Central Office. This position will also provide some backup support for the ICD-10 Managing Editor and ICD-10 Coding Consultants.
