Description

The Oracle Cloud Integrations Developer is responsible for supporting current or future third-party integration with Oracle ERP and related Oracle tools. The incumbent partners with customers, senior developers, and functional business analysts in driving appropriate design and implementation of technical solutions to support Oracle cloud integrations. The incumbent is responsible for supporting end-to-end solutions and understanding of data transformation, as if flows through key business processes. The Oracle Cloud Integrations Developer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle in accordance with the business goals and organizational architectural standards.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning
  • Collaborate with business analysts, business users and external systems integrators in conceptualization and development of new technical objects within the applications environment to support current or future Enterprise systems integrations.
  • Perform software development lifecycle activities.
  • Evaluate requirements from functional specifications and create efficient technical integration designs.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and support impact of Oracle release upgrades in existing integrations.
  • Adhere to and support the use of IS standards for code development and code promotion.
  • Analyze and assess existing procedures to allow the application to respond to business changes.
Acquisition & Deployment
  • Develop complex technical objects in accordance with the technical development standards and best practices.
  • Mitigate significant risks associated with projects, which have a high technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the business.
  • Create and resolve Service Requests in collaboration with Oracle Support or third -party vendor integrations.
  • Provide generalized production technical support.
  • Gather business requirements and recommend industry best practices and work with functional knowledge holders.
Operational Management
  • Design, develop, deploy, test, and maintain technical objects that exist in Enterprise Applications environment, e.g., interfaces, custom extensions, system designs and integrations.
  • Design, construction, and support of web services.
  • Create process flows, high level functional and detailed technical design specifications from business requirements.
  • Provide customer support for business-critical application problems and issues.
  • Coordinate work efforts with the DBA and infrastructure teams for application change controls and system performance issues.
  • Assist with testing and deployment of Release Update Pack and other module upgrades to keep application release level current.
Incidental Functions
  • Assist with large scale projects may be required to contribute to efficiency, effectiveness, and success of the work.
  • Conduct research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks.
  • Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested.

This position is eligible to work in the office three days a week and has the option to work remotely two days a week.

Qualifications

Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
  • 2+ years of IT experience.
  • 2+ years progressively responsible for building applications and system integrations.
  • Knowledge of principles, design patterns, application integration architectures.
  • Experience as an Oracle Cloud Developer with focus on Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP)
  • Experience of Oracle Cloud applications and technologies, including but not limited to Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Cloud Platform services.
  • Knowledge in Oracle Cloud data models, subject areas, and data security concepts
  • Fundamental understanding in creating data models and data sets for BI Publisher reports, templates, and bursting options.
  • Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL skills to manipulate and query data within Oracle Cloud applications and ATP database.
  • Experience with data integration techniques and tools to extract, transform, and load data into Oracle Cloud applications, which include but not limited to OIC, ADFDI, FBDI, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding testing, debugging, and diagnosing software bugs and system issues.
  • Fundamental understanding developing with an RDBMS, NOSQL database as well as understanding of schema and table design preferred.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Fundamental understanding with ETL/ELT development or other packages.
  • Oracle Certification.
  • Fundamental understanding in Java development.
  • Experience in the Oracle Database system including skills in Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle SQL Loader.
  • Fundamental understanding with two or more of the following tools. Linux/Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle VBCS, Azure integration services (Event Hub, Event Grid, Service Bus, function, logic apps), Reach JS, Angular.
  • Fundamental understanding with design and development of REST APIs.
  • Fundamental understanding with low code/no-code Cloud Integration Platform (iPaaS such as Oracle Integration Cloud or Boomi) is a plus.
  • Fundamental understanding in working with version control and software configuration management & deployment tools including Git, GitHub, Jenkins or other tools.
