POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing and managing insight generation, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and reporting strategies and methodologies across the Global Architectural Marketing Organization and potentially other divisions in support of our omnichannel marketing and customer experience goals.

Ultimately, this role will play an instrumental part in S-W's digital and marketing technology journey via the development and execution of reporting and analyses to help drive business and customer value for Sherwin-Williams.

This role partners closely with internal partners and agencies to help develop, guide, and implement measurement, analytic, and optimization strategies to exceed our customers' expectations across their entire journey. This role will work as part of a team to devise approaches to meet requests and then oversee or deliver high-quality, credible analyses, leveraging transactional, behavioral, and demographic data.

This role has a broad focus, from the measurement of marketing activity and analysis of behavior across the entire customer journey (sites, apps, in-store, marketing, sales, transactions, etc.) to continuous optimization recommendations and marketing program reporting, and other business ROI evaluations.

Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
  • Develops/oversees the development of reports and dashboards to accurately monitor business effectiveness, user behavior, sales transactions, and engagement.
  • Leads creation and completion of multivariate and A/B testing documents (from hypothesis creation to influencing creative to identifying success metrics) and post-test analysis
  • Provides data-driven, actionable insights and recommendations for improving customer acquisition, retention, conversion, and engagement across all devices, platforms, and channels.
  • Performs data mining/drilling to extract information from backend systems, databases, or operational repositories to provide business intelligence against KPIs
  • Evaluate market conditions and competitor data to identify emerging trends and recommend changes or additions to measurement and analytics strategies, tactics, and tool capabilities.
  • Assist SW divisions company-wide with the adoption of analytic best practices, utilization of common tools, and analytic disciplines needed to gauge the effectiveness of customer experiences to inform decisions required to drive sales and grow market share.
  • Creates and implements a roadmap for advancing dashboard, measurement, and reporting utilization with all stakeholder groups.
  • Supports additional projects as requested


Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and/or equivalent work experience
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar major
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Required:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a business intelligence/data science/analytics role required
Preferred:
  • Consumer Marketing, E-Business, or Database Marketing Experience
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong Communication Skills. Ability to simplify the complex and navigate diverse audiences and analytical abilities.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:
  • Experience conducting statistical analysis using tools such as R, Python, SAS, or similar
  • Experience measuring marketing campaigns and designing test scenarios
  • Experience creating and presenting summary and detailed results including recommendations and implementation suggestions
  • Experience extracting and utilizing SQL as part of day-to-day activities
  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or similar and ability to build dashboard reporting
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of digital data and analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Experience with advanced analytic methodologies
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and Dataiku databases and toolsets
