Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS (

Leading integrated teams of Demand Planners and Master Schedulers to support all Divisions and Customers.
  • Responsible for continuously improving the accuracy of finished goods forecasts in order to improve customer satisfaction, sales, profitability and overall supply chain effectiveness.
  • Track KPIs, analyze error, availability, order completeness and inventory turns with focus on customer.
  • Plan and control all scheduling activities supporting assigned plants.
  • Balance inventory with demand to support targets consistent with customer service levels, inventory turns goals and capacity utilization.
  • Capacity Planning: review constraints and work to level load, identify potential corrective actions such as overtime needed, adding equipment or expediting.

Assist Sales, Marketing, Materials/Purchasing Management, Operations, Regional Supply Chain & Technical Group in managing product life cycle.
  • Includes introduction of new products to market, forecasting the quantity and timing of demand for current products and disposition of existing discontinued products.

This position will support select Blue Yonder Modules in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning within and outside of North America. These include Blue Yonder Enterprise Supply Planning and Blue Yonder Demand as well as supporting applications, Business Objects and REACH (Allocation User Interface).
  • Manage, initiate, facilitate, design and implement system enhancements.
  • Provide analysis, testing, implementation and training to achieve both continuous improvement in both systems applications and processes.

This position has strategic input and responsibility to support Division's annual and multi year plans. Impacts finished goods/raw material inventories, customer forecasts, transportation and overall supply chain costs.

Responsible for initiating and facilitating recruitment and hiring of professional level employees.
  • Manage, train, coach and develop team members to support business units.
  • Actively participate in recruitment of management trainees, develop work plan


Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION :

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or 12 years experience
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
  • MBA and / or APICS certification
  • Six Sigma / Lean certification of Green belt or higher

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:
  • 7 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field
Preferred:
  • 10 or more years of experience in Supply Chain or related field
  • 5 or more years in a manager or supervisory capacity
  • Six Sigma, Lean and Continuous Improvement experience

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:
  • Solid understanding and/or hands on experience in the following areas: Sales &Ops planning, forecasting, production inventory planning and scheduling or VMI.
  • Holds an in-depth knowledge of business processes and has ability to work with diverse functions.
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of the business processes related to the Blue Yonder Supply Chain Planning modules to exploit capabilities to offer our company enhanced functionality, improve internal controls, streamline processes and reduce cost.
  • Exhibits superior communication and negotiating skills to effectively review the benefits of a global footprint with all levels of key executives, division management and control/budget level managers.
  • Balances and monitors complex requirements, flexibility and deadlines for our company (domestic and foreign) with the need to develop company-wide standard, shared solutions utilizing similarly configured software and similar processes and procedures for increased efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Manages the acceptance of change brought about by business process improvements across all S-W levels while building synergistic relationships within our company.
  • Participates on the implementation of system upgrades and future enhancements, as well as rollouts of business applications to other operating units or countries within the company. Balance and monitor complex requirements, multiple tasks and deadlines for our company with the need to develop company-wide standard, shared solutions.
  • Systems Knowledge: Enterprise Supply Planner, Demand, Business Objects, QAD, AOM, AWCS, MES.
  • Analytical skills, systems aptitude, good communication. Must be able to prioritize, be proactive, customer focus.
  • Strong decision-making skills and Leadership skills.
