Responsibilities

This position is accountable for managing a profile of large Energy customers in order to maintain and increase sales/growth and market share for the P&M Division. This position is accountable for sourcing and developing relationships with high-value potential Energy customers that lead to sales, margin, market share and profit growth throughout the Key Accounts business segment. Position will serve as the single point of contact and will manage customer relationships, procurement, and coordinate pricing across Regions/Sales Areas. Ultimately, the goal of this position is to make Sherwin-Williams the single supplier for the national key Energy accounts.

Will work with the Energy Sales Director, BDR Sales Manager, BDR Sales Representatives and other divisional stakeholders to ensure that multiple customer locations receive the same level of service program offerings. The Key Account Manager must be able to effectively utilize resources, marketing technical, and work with PSG National Accounts to meet customer expectations and achieve long-term sales/market growth. Will effectively interface with work with finance, R&D, sales, operations, and supply chain to meet customers' needs.

Will manage between $10MM-$25MM of assigned large customers with a market potential of $50MM.

Qualifications

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:
  • High School
Preferred:
  • Bachelors in Business
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:
  • Ability to work with all levels of the P&M Sales Organization
  • Ability to work with PSG National Accounts
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of multiple corrosion prevention solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively communicate and influence specifiers and asset owners.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles (12-24 months or greater)
  • Proficient with Saleforce.com or equivalent CRM platform
  • Must have a validdriver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in countryof employment withoutsponsorship for employment visa status.
Preferred:
  • 3+ years of business-to-business sales experience in the coatings industry
  • Previous sales experience working in the Energy segment
  • Previous sales management experience within Protective and Marine
  • Experience as a successful Business Development Manager, Project Development Manager, Dedicated Sales Representative, or Multi-segment Sales Representative with a proven track record.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including the ability to influence, prioritize, make decisions, and lead complex activities.
  • AMPP certified or other industry certifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to __40__ pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
  • May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
  • May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required. 75% travel
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:
  • Ability to perform technical presentations to assigned accounts when required.
  • Ability to perform technical presentations at industry conferences when required.
  • AMPP CIP Level 1
Preferred:
  • Ability to present Root Cause Failure Analysis as needed to assigned accounts.
  • AMPP CIP Level 3
